There are really many restaurants in Orveto, mostly are good, but only some are great, on my opinion!

A Restaurant where to taste the heritage of the Umbrian and Tuscan food.  I think they have very affordable price. My mum Lucia know well the owner and we really trust her food!

GROTTE DEL FUNARO

LE GROTTE DEL FUNARO. Truffles, porcino mushrooms,   Chianina beef are at the basis of Alfredo’s cuisine. Tradition renewed with unusual and harmonious combinations. varied cuisine also include fish and seafood,and pizza baked in a wood-burning oven. The restaurant consists of a main room, with walls and vaulted ceiling cut out of the bedrock, a large separate room ideal for groups, and two smaller rooms, one a music room. The friendly premises are located on various levels and are replete with charm and history.  In summer guests can also eat outside, and enjoy the beauty of the landscape down below.

The best bar and place for a brunch is CAFFE’ MONTANUCCI, in Corso Cavour 21/23/25 (tel. + 39 0763 341 261). We love the nice tea room decorated by wood sculpures made by Michelangeli. www.barmontanucci.it

For the best Gelato, no doubt: taste, Gelateria Pasqualetti. It is located left side of the Duomo.
