@Sostanza il Troia

Firenze, Best Eating out & More

1) We consider one of the best eating out in Florence:  Sostanza detto IL TROIA Osteria.

To order the  Fiorentina T-bone stick.

You will never, ever eat anything as good as this. The restaurant is small and non-descript, but very popular for all the 100% authentique fiorentini. Everything on the meal looked and smelled incredible. We also highly recommend you to eat the butter chicken ( it literally is more than amazing).

Pay attention it can be closed on August.

Make sure you have reservations or you will wait a long time to get in. Where: Via della Porcellana, 25 r – 50123 Firenze – tel + 30 055 212691

More ideas  from our big friend AVA, here is her own review:

We had carpaccio of zucchini and eggplant with smoked cheese melted on top, lobster risotto, spaghetti a la vongole (clams, I may have spelled that very incorrectly) and the famous and fabulous florentine steak. All were absolutely amazing, we will return here next time we visit Florence!

“…..My favorite leather shop is called Bottega Fiorentina.
“What I like is that they are priced reasonably, make their own goods, and they line their purses and wallets in leather, not material, so they will last longer. It is near Santa Croce, but I don’t recall the street name (it is on the same street as the restaurant Fransesco Vinni – I have probably misspelled this name), which is quite nice and built over a Roman ruin of a Coliseum”.
